Altheia & Beverly Jones

Altheia Jones Lecointe was born and raised in Port of Spain in Trinidad  on the 9th of January 1945. Altheia and her sisters Jennifer and Beverly were born to Dustan Jones, a principal of a government school and Viola Jones who was a dressmaker and political activist. While Altheia moved to London and became a prominent member of the British Black Panther Movement, her sisters Jennifer and Beverly became involved in the revolutionary politics in Trinidad.
