Podcasting Workshop with Young historians Project

On the 10th of February 2024 we hosted a workshop for the Young Historians Project at Queen Mary University of London . In the workshop we explored the creative and logistics of creating podcast rooted in history in preparation of YHP’s upcoming Podcast series.

Podcasting Workshop with Burnel university undergraduate music students

In December 2023 we had the pleasure of speaking to a group of undergraduate music students as they embark on creating Podcasts as part of their degree. We broke down production and editing process behind the "Connie Matthews" episode of Assata's Chant and Other Histories.

Paul Robeson Archival workshop with BSix collge and Marx Memorial Library

In September 2023 we facilitated an archival workshop for BSix College History students exploring the life and work of the great Artist and Activist Paul Robeson using the Marx Memorial Library’s collection.

Assata’s Chant and Other Histories oakland exhibition

We've had an amazing time bring Assata's Chant and Other Histories to the A Level History students at BSix Brooke House Sixth Form College over 3 sessions. These workshop resulted in the BBC Radio 4 documentary Radio Free Dixie which appeared on Short Cuts Series 34.

Assata’s Chant and Other Histories oakland exhibition

In August 2023, in collaboration with FAM Oakland we brought the Assata’s Chant and Other Histories Audiovisual experience to Oakland California.

Assata’s Chant and Other Histories Roundhouse exhibition

In 2022 we brought the Assata’s Chant and Other Histories audiovisual experience to the Roundhouse for a month long display which included multiple events and a partnership with New Beacon Books which saw London’s first black publishers and book store setting up a stall at our opening event.
