UPDATED HISTORY OF THE NEW AFRIKAN PRISON STRUGGLE BY sUNDIATA aCOLI

Active in struggles for Black Liberation since the mid 1960s, Acoli was captured after a shootout in New Jersey in 1973 Alongside Assata Shakur and Zayd Shakur. Acoli was convicted in the death of a state trooper. UHOTNAPS was written by Acoli while incarcerated. We obtained the rights to create and audio version of the work via PM Press in 2021 as a part of our Assata’s Chant and Other Histories project. Acoli was released from prison in 2022.
